At one point, Silver Empire was John’s publisher before it closed. The publishers, Russell and Morgon Newquist, are also the parents of John’s godson, Ansgar. Recently, the Newquists had to rush their little girl Sera to the hospital for emergency surgery. A Give Send Go has covered some of the basics and is now closed, but those of us who love the Newquists are urging people buy their books.
To this end, Read, Friend and Enter, the Reading Club for Men, has picked Russel’s novel War Demons for their March book.

I had a friend who has since passed on who made Raggedy Andy dolls. She made one for Sera back in 2023. This was her after I gave her the doll. Such a darling little sweetie.
